Note: It is unclear if this is a new design by Kiyotada IV or a
reproduction of an older design. Kikugorô VI's most recent
performance in this role in Tokyo immediately prior to this
issue would have been at the Ichimura-za in February 1919
in a production entitled Shinobi Au Haruno Yuki Doke 
(忍逢春雪解).  However, he also performed the role in 1915
and 1916, and Kikugorô V also performed the role in 1900
which Kiyotada could have seen.
