Hirschfeld may have seen with Ichikawa Danshirô IV (市川段四郎) as
Umeômaru (梅王丸), Ichikawa Omezô V (市川男女蔵) as Matsuômaru
(松王丸), and Ichimura Kakitsu XVII (市村家橘) as Sakuramaru (桜丸).
