possible that Gakô based this print on Yaeko's

Note:  Yaeko I and Shôtarô appeared in the Tokyo premiere
at the Meiji-za in October 1937 and in several subsequent
revivals, either together or with other actors.  Shôtarô starred
in the 1939 movie version.  The last time that they appeared
together that I've been able to confirm was at the Shinbashi
Enbujô, Tokyo, in February 1952.  As the print would have
been made after Shôtarô's death in 1965 and probably after
Yaeko I's death in 1979, it is logical to assume that Hasashi
would have based the print on its premiere Tokyo performance
in 1937.
