Note: The original Shinsui painting upon which this print
is based is dated 1961, so the print would have to be made
on or after that date. Seeing as the prints were accompanied
by a cassette tape of kouta music, the prints likely date to
the late sixties at the earliest and more likely the 1970s.

Note: Some of the panels bear a passing resemblance to the small
size Kabuki Jûhachiban
(歌舞伎十八番) prints Ota Gakô produced in 1931, but I do not feel that
the resemblance
is sufficiently strong as to conclusively attribute the print to
Ota.
