Note: The National Theater of Japan gives a June 1899 publication date, but it is unclear what
this is based on since no date seems to appear on the print itself.  Its database indicates that
a corresponding theatrical performance is unknown, but Kabuki-Shinpa-Shinkokugeki Haiyaku
Sôran (7th Edition) indicates that Sadao and his troupe performed it at the Shintomi-za in July
1900, and that was on the same bill with Koi no Pisutoru.
