Note: There was a movie theater in Kichijoji called the "Kichijojikan" that was
built in 1925. That cinema was also known as the "Inokashira Kaikan" or
simply the "Inokashira." At some point it closed, but in 1951 the Musashino
Movie Theater, a joint-stock company affiliated with Inokashira Kaikan,
opened the Musashino Movie Theater (commonly known as Kichijoji Musashino,
M.E.G.) . It's unclear if they remodeled the prior cinema, built a new cinema on
the same spot, or built it somewhere else in Kichijoji. The Kichijoji Musashino
was closed in 1983 for rebuilding and reopened in 1984 as the Kichijoji Baus
Theater which operated until it closed in 2014.
