Note: This appears to be a Japanese version of a play by Maxim Gorky, possibly
"The Lower Depths." There were several productions of "Yoru no Yado" in Tokyo
in the 1920s, and one in December 1932 at the Tsukiji Shōgekijō several months
after this print was made. However, I have not locateda production in the months
immediately prior to this publication of this print.
