    Shû (歌舞伎隈取集) set.  Sadanji II performed
    this role at the Kabuki-za in April 1926 and again
    in April 1931.  One of those productions likely

        role in Tokyo at the Hongô-za in
        June 1915.  He would reprise the role
        in Tokyo at the Kabuki-za in April
        1918, October 1925, December 1927,
        and February 1934, though never
        opposite Kikugorô.  It is possible that
        one of these productions toured

            the 1920s.  His most immediate
            prior performance in this role in

            January 1918,  It is possible that this
            piece reflects a performance outside

            is shown in the Chikamine entry for
