Note: This print depicts Sagi Musume as personified by a noted
dancing teacher of Mikyako Odori (都をどり), one of the four
great spring shows in the five geisha districts (hanamachi) of
Kyoto, Japan. Various online sources date this print to 1918 and
to 1925.  Since Taniguchi Kôkyô died in 1915, it is possible
that this print was posthumously published.  Given the
design's popularity, it is also possible that it was printed
