Note: Yaeko previously played this role at the Hongô-za
in September 1927 and at the Asakusa Shochiku-za in
March 1928. It is possible that Shunsen based this print
one of those prior performances.

Note: The only record I can find of Kikugorô VI
performing this role in Tokyo was at the Ichimura-za in
June 1914. Presumably, this print is based on a later
performance outside of Tokyo, such as in Yokohama.
