Note: This was Ennosuke II's last performance in this
role in Tokyo. He first performed the role at the Meiji-
za in September 1934. It is possible that this print
depicts an earlier performance, particularly one of his
post-WWII performances at the Tokyo Gekijô in
December 1945, January 1947, or January 1949.
