Note:  While the National Theatre of
Japan says the play title for this print
is “Yami no Ume Hyaku Monogatari,”
the Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre
Museum says the title is “Osakabe.” 
Osakabe is also listed as a
segment on the same bill, but
probably refers to a dance interlude. 
Both appear to involve the same
characters.
